Scope

14,000 SF Total; 10,300 SF medical office; 3,700 SF residential

Project

Every moment, from the parking lot to the medical office to the exit, a patient or staff obtain glimpses of nature. The interior layout is organized about the inner courtyard. The interior finishes are white with blonde woods accented by indiscrete lighting and wall coverings. The parking design problem allowed the team to lift the medical office to the second floor. Zoning regulations require a percentage of the building area to be residential. We incorporated three residential units that face north and capture views of downtown and a gargantuan existing tree. The exterior palette is large-format tile contrasted with stucco. Solar screening is employed on the west facade creating a rhythm of shadows as the sun sets.
