The Fort Worth Birthing & Wellness Center is the only free standing birthing center located in the heart of the Fort Worth medical district. This location was once a Dr Pepper bottling plant and later offices.

Exterior: The primary goal was to undo recent modifications. We used historic photos to bring the building back to its days as a bottling plant: repainting, highlighting exterior details, reinstalling windows where openings once were, and restoring the clock on the tower.

Interior: The monumental stair tower would become an event center entrance complete with a new stair leading to the second floor. The center is designed to be comfortable and relaxing, with a focus on creating a home-like atmosphere for birthing families. Circulation and movement was vital to connect three birthing suites, two nurse stations, ten exam rooms, and other accessory spaces. The stripes on the exterior informed interior design moves throughout. Artwork accentuates the atmosphere of the center.
